Invitation to seminars on "A holistic insight into sustainable managment of protected areas"
The partners of the project "Reinforcing Protected Areas Capacity through an Innovative Methodology for Sustainability" (BIO2CARE), funded by the INTERREG VA COOPERATION PROGRAMME Cross-border program "GREECE - BULGARIA 2014 - 2020", have the honor to invite you to participate to the seminars that will take place in the framework of the Working Package WP5 (Integrated Approach - Policy Recommendation) entitled "A holistic look at the sustainable management of protected areas", where various issues will be developed such as: Protecting biodiversity, implementing its principles circular economy, the development of symbiotic actions and the implementation of ecological signage in protected areas.
These specific workshops are prepared in the context of the deliverables:
- D5.2 (Targeted workshops regarding biodiversity preservation, circular economy and symbiotic activities) and
- D5.3 (Targeted workshops regarding BIO2CARE labeling scheme)
The workshops aim to inform the general public about innovative issues and tools related to sustainable performance and protection of protected areas, as well as to strengthen the administrative and managerial capacity of their Management Bodies. The workshops are organized by the Democritus University and specifically by the "Laboratory of Environmental Management and Industrial Ecology - LEMIE", as the Lead Partner of the project.
Given the current conditions, the seminar will be held online, using the ZOOM platform, on Thursday, July 9, 2020, starting at 10.00 am.
